Kids First is taking Drop-in on the road to Port Hillford Beach.  All parents/caregivers and children are welcome to join Paula for some fun in the sun!!  Snacks and beach toys will be provided.  Bring sun screen.  Funding for transportation will be available.

Saturday, August 3 - COUNTRY HERITAGE DRIVING DAY –The Sporting Day focuses on traditional horse and carriage driving and includes three phases: Turnout Inspection, a Country Drive with several driving challenges 10 am - 3 pm.

Sunday Aug.4^th:

Harold Scott Memorial Benchrest @ 100 yds

2 classes:      

• Center fire rifles with scope,
• Rim fire rifles with scope (22 lr, 22mag, 17hmr)

9am-3pm shoot for group and score at the same time. $3.00 BBQ lunch. Public are welcome to shoot as guest certified. Range Safety Officer present on site.

You are invited to join us for the Port Hilford OLD SCHOOL HOUSE NATAL DAY CONCERT on Monday, August 5th at 7:00pm.

Musical selections from Max MacDonald, Mike Porter, Joey Jordan, Donald & Katie Brushett and friends. Light refreshments to follow.  Goodwill donations will be accepted for continued maintenance on this historic building.  Hope you can make it to the school house in Port Hilford heading across the bridge on the Wine Harbour Road!

Family Camping Trip- Kids First Program:

August 13^th rain date August 14^th

A family camping trip will be taking place at Nimrods Campground in Stillwater.  Up to 10 families will be registered.  We would encourage any families who have not camped before to sign up.  Kids First has a number of tents and air mattresses to lend.  This is a great way to try camping with your children without having the cost of purchasing the supplies.  Supper and breakfast the next day will be provided. Registration is now open for the 32^nd annual Guysborough County 55+ Games at the Liscombe Lodge. The games will take place on August 21^st and 22nd this year. Enjoy some of your favorite games, lots of laughs and a beautiful visit to the Liscombe Lodge Resort and Conference Centre. Registration forms are available at the Municipal Office.
