With the approval of Governor in Council, Minister Chuck Porter further renewed the declaration of a State of Emergency for all of the Province to continue on and after 12:00 pm (noon) on Sunday, April 4, 2021. If this Declaration is not renewed or terminated earlier, the State of Emergency remains in effect until 14 days after the date and time it is declared, which is until 12:00 pm (noon) on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

Municipal Office:

The Municipal Office is open to the public for general questions and information as well as for payments. The Municipality requires that everyone entering the office wear a face covering or mask and maintain the social distancing recommendations. 

Council Meetings:

Council is now holding in person meetings in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office. All councillors and staff are respecting the social distancing recommendations and wearing face coverings or masks. For members of the public that are interested in attending a meeting in person, please must call the office at 902-522-2049 to pre-register. This helps to ensure appropriate capacity and social distancing limits. Any public attendents must also wear a face covering or mask upon entering the building and during the meeting. 

Recreation Programming:

Recreation programming is underway again and the department is providing programs that allow for the appropriate social distancing recommendations and that follow all Provincial COVID-19 guidelines.
