MP Fraser dropped by the social at the Indian Harbour Lake/Jordanville Community Centre to enjoy a bowl of homemade chowder, and share that the Centre was receiving $23,713 for a new ceiling, lighting and improvements to the parking lot. Members of the Stillwater Community Centre were also present, and MP Fraser shared that their Centre was receiving $25,000 for their revitalization project.
On Saturday April 14th, MP Sean Fraser was pleased to drop by the Port Bickerton Community Centre to share that the Centre received $24,000 through the New Horizons for Seniors Fund for their green space project for upgrades and to upgrade the parking lot.
Active Transportation refers to any form of human powered transportation such as walking, cycling, using a wheelchair, skateboarding or snowshoeing. The Municipality is currently working on an Active Transportation Plan to connect Old Road Hill to Hwy. 7 and Main Street. Improving accessibility will provide opportunities for safe travel for visitors and residents.
Pressure testing and disinfection of the main line has been completed. Starting Monday, April 16th, 2018 lateral connections to the new line will begin between the Water Treatment Plant and the end of the line on Old Road Hill. During this time there will be temporary water disruptions and crews will be on site completing the connections. Residents will be given prior notice to any planned extended disruption in service. The Municipality appreciates your patience and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will continue to provide schedule updates as the work progresses.
