Welcome to St. Mary’s

Located in the heart of Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore, the Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s is a rural municipality consisting of five electoral districts. Incorporated in 1879, the Municipality has a population of 2,233 and is bounded by the counties of Antigonish and Pictou, the municipalities of Halifax and Guysborough, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Community Cancellations:

Sunday services and Friday night bible study have been temporarily suspended from meeting due to the current health situation. Both the bible study segments and Sunday messages can be seen online.

In light of the evolving situation with COVID-19 virus and our Municipality's Business Contingency Plan that has been issued effective March 15th 2020. King Lion Dave Smith and our Board of Directors have made the decision that all activities at the Lions Hall will be cancelled until further notice.

Some of the activities that are cancelled are as follows but are not limited to.... Weekly Wednesday Night Bingo, Weekly Monday Dart League, Friday Night Chase the Ace

 The Easter Penny Auction at the Ecum Secum Fire Hall will be cancelled for March 28th. We apologize but want everyone to be safe!

The Women's Institute Activity Day planned for March 27th has been cancelled.

The Goshen Community & Recreation Centre will be closed for the next three weeks, at which time it will be reassessed.
