Waste Collection

Call Eastern Shore Cartage at 1-800-261-0372 for any waste collection issues.

Residents are reminded all items must be to the curb prior to 7:00 a.m. on collection day. Collection times can change due to staffing, weather, traffic, construction, etc. Cancellations are advertised with local media.

Garbage Week

Clear bags only, each clear bag may contain one solid colour bag for personal items. In addition to garbage, you may also place one bulky item out for collection on garbage week. The garbage limit is 4 bags per household per week. Bulky items must be less than 400 lbs and smaller than 7 ft high x 6 ft wide (maximum that will fit through the door). You may put out an unlimited amount of bagged Recyclables providing it is recyclables week.

Hours of Operation: Mondays 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and every second (Bi-weekly) Saturdays 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Mercury is a toxic pollutant that threatens the health of humans, fish and other wildlife. By recycling mercury-containing products such as CFL Bulbs and Thermometers you can help reduce the amount of mercury entering our environment. Bring your residential mercury-containing products to the Municipal Transfer Station and we'll recycle them for you, free of charge.
