Emergency Medical Care (EMC)

The Municipality of St. Mary's is fully covered by 911. Sherbrooke itself has one ambulance that covers Sherbrooke and the outlying communities. There are six Paramedics who work out of Sherbrooke, providing the area with 24-hour coverage. The local fire departments and ambulances from Country Harbour and Ecum Secum (1/2 hour drive to the east and west of Sherbrooke, respectively) provide back up for the EMC station.

High-Crest Sherbrooke is a 39 bed facility with an Alzheimer secure unit and 24 hour registered nursing care. The Recreation Coordinator organizes a variety of social and special events for the entertainment of the residents.
