On 22 March 2020, the Government of Nova Scotia declared a provincial state of emergency to help contain the spread of COVID-19. The state of emergency has been extended until noon on July 26, 2020. If the declaration is not renewed or terminated earlier, the Sate of Emergency remains in effect until 14 days after the date and time it is declared, which is until 12:00pm (noon) on Sunday, August 9, 2020.
