Did You know?
Our staff is busy getting the finishing touches on the ice at the Recplex for this upcoming season. There is a lot of work and hours needed to make the surface  and many layers of flooding. We challenged the Municpality with a trivia question to see if anyone could guess how many layers it actually takes before you can skate on the ice. The correct answer was 60 layers of flooding that went into the ice making this year. 50 of those were by hand and the remaining ten were with our new Zamboni! Drop by for our opening day on Saturday November 23rd to check out our new machine!
Water Treatment Facility Tour
Every wonder how our municipal water system works?
Treatment for drinking water production involves the removal of contaminants from raw water to produce water that is pure enough for human consumption without any short term or long term risk of any adverse health effect. The processes involved in removing the contaminants include physical processes such as settling and filtration, chemical processes such as disinfection and coagulation and biological processes such as slow sand filtration.
