The Active Living Coordinator will develop policies to enable residents to be more active in their everyday life and create relationships with organizations committed to active living within the municipality.

MUNICIPALITY OF THE DISTRICT OF ST. MARY'S

TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of the District of St. Mary's will hold a Public Hearing to consider an application to amend the Land Use By-law.

The purpose of the proposed amendment is to rezone portions of property located at 3925 Highway 7, Sherbrooke (PID 37503547) as follows:

  • Approximately 18 acres from the Rural Resource Zone to the General Commercial Zone; and
  • Approximately 5 acres from the Rural Resource Zone to the Mixed-Use Zone.

The Public Hearing will be held on:

July 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Municipality of the District of St. Mary's

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of the District of St. Mary's, at its meeting held on July 15, 2026, adopted an amendment to the Municipality's Land Use By-law by rezoning property identified as PID 37529856, located in Ecum Secum, Guysborough County, from the Rural Resource (RR) Zone to the General Commercial (GC) Zone to permit the operation of a Motor Vehicle Inspection Station.

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to Sections 247 and 249 of the Municipal Government Act, an appeal of this decision may be made within fourteen (14) days after the publication of this Notice. The appeal period expires on July 30, 2026.
