Happy Halloween!
The Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s wishes everyone a safe and happy Halloween!
Join us tonight at Fright Night at the St. Mary’s Recplex from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. for a Trick or Treat and a night of Halloween fun for all ages.
As you head out this evening, please note that Environment Canada is forecasting heavy rain and strong winds across much of the province. Wet and windy conditions can lead to lower visibility and increased hazards such as slippery sidewalks and fallen debris.
We encourage all families and trick-or-treaters to take extra care and follow these Halloween safety reminders:
-
Make sure children are visible in the dark — carry a flashlight or glow stick and add reflectors to costumes.
-
Parents should carry a cell phone to receive weather or safety-related alerts.
-
Look both ways before crossing the street and use crosswalks whenever possible.
-
Be alert for fallen branches, puddles, and other debris.
-
Drive carefully and watch for pedestrians, who may be harder to see in the dark and rain.
-
Always trick-or-treat with a group of friends or a trusted adult.
-
Never go into a stranger’s house or car.
-
Have an adult check candy before it is eaten.
Have a safe and spooky Halloween! 🎃
