The Rankin government announced today, May 4, more than $12 million in additional support for Nova Scotia businesses hit hard by the pandemic and facing province-wide restrictions as a result of a third wave.

Three programs – one new program and two previously announced –aim to help small business owners such as restaurants, spas, hotels, gyms and hair salons. Businesses will be supported through rebates, with an immediate infusion of cash to hire staff, pay down debt or order supplies.

Due to the COVID pandemic, MacMillan’s mobile depot will be discontinuing the Saturday recyclable collections until further notice.

Please note the municipal office is closed to the public due to the pandemic. Staff are currently in the office to answer phone calls if residents have any questions.
 
Payments can be made by cheque or money order and mailed to the office or placed in the drop box at the office. Payments can also be made through online banking. Please reference the Assessment Account Number (8 digits) for taxes and use Account Number 33333333 (8 digits) for water payments.
 
You can also pay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) through our bill payment partner, Paymentus Corporation. Please not there is a 1.75% convenience fee by Paymentus. Go to https://ipn.paymentus.com/rotp/dosm to pay online. Payment can also be made over the phone by calling 1-855-990-9627.

Effective Wednesday, April 28, Eastern Counties Regional Library branches are closed to the public until further notice.

In accordance with public health directives ECRL libraries are still able to offer the public Curbside Pickup service. Staff will be available during their regularly scheduled hours and available to assist you by phone. Our stringent COVID-19 safety measures remain in place and help to ensure that our library collections are safe for public use.
