Council Meetings
Please note that Council will be holding the following meetings through teleconference for the month of April:
- April 8th, 2020 - 1:00pm: Committee of the Whole Meeting
- April 14th, 2020- 1:00pm: Regular Meeting of Council
Both meetings will be audio recorded and the public will be able to access the recording within 24 hours of the meetings' end time.
RCMP asks for help to identity a person of interest:
March 27, 2020, Seal Harbour, Nova Scotia… Sherbrooke RCMP is asking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest in relation to an arson.
At 11:15 a.m. on February 5, RCMP responded to a report of a structure fire at a home on Seal Harbour Rd. in Seal Harbour. The fire department attended and extinguished the fire. The home was destroyed and the investigation determined that the fire was suspicious in nature. No one was injured as a result of the fire.
Sherbrooke RCMP is looking for the public's help in identifying a vehicle that was parked on the side of Hwy. 316 in the Seal Harbour area during the hours of 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on February 5.
Police believe that the person driving that vehicle may have information about the fire.

Brush Fires & Camp Fires
As per the Department of Lands and Forestry, all domestic brush burning and campfires are not permitted until May 15, 2020. Anyone planning to burn brush or have camp fires after that should contact the local Lands and Forestry office.
Closure
Please note the Municipal Office will be closed today, March 27th. Staff will be working from home and can be reached by email. Staff will be back in office on Monday, March 30th to answer any inquiries.
