Service Announcement from ECRL

Effective Wednesday, April 28, Eastern Counties Regional Library branches are closed to the public until further notice.

In accordance with public health directives ECRL libraries are still able to offer the public Curbside Pickup service. Staff will be available during their regularly scheduled hours and available to assist you by phone. Our stringent COVID-19 safety measures remain in place and help to ensure that our library collections are safe for public use. 

 For assistance, please call our Headquarters location toll-free at 1-855-787-7323.

Sherbrooke Library: Curbside pickup only

Our Borrow by Mail and digital library services are also available.  

The staff at ECRL are glad if the Library can help in some small way to support you and your family. Please encourage anyone in need to sign up for a library card or try our Borrow by Mail and digital services.

Municipal Office Closure

Due to the new restrictions from the province and the 2 week province wide circuit breaker, the Municipal Office will be closed to the public for two weeks. Staff will still be onsite and available to answer phone calls if members of the public have questions.

Eastern Counties Regional Library

Service Announcement from ECRL - April 27, 2021

Due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases, and in accordance with Nova Scotia Public Health COVID-19 directives, Eastern Counties Regional Library will reduce visitor capacity at all library locations providing public access by 50%. Visitor capacity for the following library locations is:

Port Hawkesbury Library: Curbside pickup only

Alexander Doyle Public Library (Mabou): Curbside pickup only

Mulgrave: Curbside pickup only

Sherbrooke Library: 1 person at a time

St. Peter’s Library: 1 person at a time

Cyril Ward Memorial Library (Guysborough): 3 people at a time

Coady & Tompkins Memorial Library (Margaree Forks): 3 people at a time

Petit de Grat Library: 5 people at a time

Canso Library: 5 people at a time

We appreciate your understanding and patience with these measures to help keep the public and our staff safe. Curbside pickup, Borrow by Mail, and digital library services remain available to everyone.

Municipal Property Tax Sale by Sealed Tender

The Municipality of the District of St. Mary's will be holding an upcoming property tax sale by sealed tender. Sealed bids will be accepted until 11am Tuesday, June 29th, 2021.
