IN THE MATTER OF AN APPLICATION by the MUNICIPALITY OF THE DISTRICT OF ST. MARY’S, on behalf of Sherbrooke Water Utility, for approval of amendment to its Schedule of Rates and Charges for Water and Water Services and amendments to its Schedule of Rules and Regulations. This matter will be considered in a public hearing as follows:

Hearing Starts: Monday March 31, 2025 at 11:00 am
Evening Session: Monday, March 31, 2025 at 7:00 pm
Hearing Location: St. Mary's Municipality Council Chambers, 8296 Hwy 7, Sherbrooke Nova Scotia

• You may request formal standing as an Intervenor, subject to Board approval. This will allow you to present evidence or cross-examine witnesses. Your request must be received by the Board by Thursday, February 6, 2025, and a copy of your written evidence by Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Additional information about the matter is as follows:
For a 5/8 meter, residential customer, the average current quarterly water bill is $146.49, and it is proposed to be amended to $187.95 (a 28.3% increase) in 2025/26; $205.10 (a 9.1% increase) in 2026/27; and $224.45 (a 9.4% increase) in 2027/28.
The Utility also requests amendments for other metered services ranging from 23.7% to 54.7% in 2025/26; 8.2% to 12.7% in 2026/27; and 8.5% to 12.9% in 2027/28.
Upon reviewing the Application, the Board, in its Decision, may determine that the proposed amendments should be as requested, higher, or lower.
