Artwork Unveiled to Recognize Legacy of Residential Schools
Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s unveils commissioned artwork to commemorate victims and survivors of residential schools in Canada.
Sherbrooke N.S. – The Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s will mark an important milestone in its efforts towards Truth and Reconciliation on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024. An original piece of artwork that will serve to recognize the impact of residential schools in Canada will be officially unveiled at the Municipal Office following a meeting of council.

A nominated non-profit will be selected at random and will be provided a basket of snacks and drinks for their next board meeting.
Reminder that the Municipality is currently accepting nominations for Volunteer of the Year for 2024. Nominate a volunteer in your organization or community who has gone above and beyond to serve their community.
