2024-2025 Grants to Organizations Application Form
2024-2025 General Government Grants
The Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s provides grants to organizations annually through an application process to Council with a focus on capital projects. Organizations must be active with the Registry of Joint Stocks, and must be located within the Municipality or serve/benefit residents within the Municipality.
Deadline to submit an application is February 15, 2024.

If an organization receives $1,000 or greater they must complete a grants to organizations evaluation form (found on the municipal website) on how the money was spent by February 15th of the current year.
If the form is not completed the organization/group will not be eligible for a grant in the following fiscal year.

Need assistance with heating your home?
There are grants available through Efficiency Nova Scotia and the Heat Fund to help assist in getting heat pumps or heating assistance in place to help heat your home next year. Find out if you are eligible by accessing their websites:

Efficiency Nova Scotia has a few different applications you can fill out to assist in Heat pumps, better insulation, draft proofing, windows, doors, and other upgrades, to check eligibility visit the URL above. You have to own a single-unit home located in Nova Scotia and can provide proof of ownership, live in your home year-round, primary residence, the home is at least 6 months old, and no major renovations have been started.

The heat fund opens for applications in January 2023, One application per household, applying does not guarantee approval. This is not a rebate program, and assistance may not be available to every applicant.
