Residents please be advised that with the observance of November 11th, the St. Mary's Municipal Office will be closed on Monday, November 13th. MODSM encourages residents to attend a service and we thank the Royal Canadian Legion members and all volunteers who help us remember on this special day. 

The St. Mary's Transfer Station will be closed Saturday, November 11th as well.

Community Development and Recreation:

The Community Development and Recreation (CDR) department is responsible for coordinating and organizing the programs and activities that take place in the community. Tyler and Kerri run programs and activities to keep the community in good health, and occasions to explore nature and exercise within our Municipality. They promote and manage the fitness centre as well as develop and manage programming at the St. Mary’s Recplex.

Public Works:

Tim Wilson, Public Works Assistant & EMO Coordinator.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and operation of water and sewer utilities, Recplex, Transfer Station, Grounds Keeping of Parks & Trails, Municipal Properties and Maintenance of all Municipal Buildings. Public Works is a hard-working, dedicated, and persistent group of individuals who take pride in the Municipality and keep all the equipment and buildings running. They are the ones who don’t often get recognized for their good deeds yet are always doing something proactive to support the different departments of the Municipality. Public Works most importantly provides essential community services and facilities to keep our beautiful Municipality running smoothly.

Transfer Station:
Martin Smith, Transfer Station Operator

The Transfer Station is a very important part of the Municipality. Martin is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the transfer station. Martin is a very loyal, keen, and faithful worker. He is always happy to help residents with questions or concerns they may have about the transfer station and is very experienced in the field.

Recplex:
Raymond Lays, Recplex Operator

Raymond is responsible for the Recplex, which is a big component of the Municipality. Raymond operates and controls the rink, helping residents stay active and exercise while following the rules and regulations of the Recplex. He also makes sure the ice is in great condition for curling, hockey practice and hockey games. Raymond just started working at the Recplex this year and is a very active, keen and nice person, so stop by the Recplex to see what Raymond’s up to.
