With the approval of Governor in Council, Minister Chuck Porter further renewed the declaration of a State of Emergency for all of the Province to continue on and after 12:00 pm (noon) on Sunday, November 15, 2020. If this Declaration is not renewed or terminated earlier, the State of Emergency remains in effect until 14 days after the date and time it is declared, which is until 12:00 pm (noon) on Sunday, November 29, 2020.

Please note that refundable recyclables can be exchanged on Saturday, November 14th and Saturday, November 28th at the St. Mary's Recplex.

- All individuals will be required to sign in, and must do so for themselves. Please print clearly and provide current contact information.

-You will be required to review our Recplex Return to Winter Play Plan and to sign the COVID-19 Waiver & Recplex Use Attestation and Agreement.

-Masks are required when entering the facility. They may be removed when participating in physical activity on the ice surface.

-Spectators are not permitted to enter (with the exception of youth hockey, one parent per family may attend) due to building capacity and Nova Scotia Public Health Guidelines.

Due to a councillor resignation, the Municipality will be holding a Special Election for the office of District 8 on January 16, 2021. At the Nov. 9th Regular Council meeting, Council made the motion to administer this election through telephone and internet voting only. The voting period will run 24 hours a day from January 9, 2021 to January 16, 2021.
 
Potential candidates can file their nomination papers by appointment with the Returning Officer on Nomination Day, Tuesday, December 22, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Municipal Council Chambers, 8296 Hwy #7, Sherbrooke, or during the preceding seven (7) business days also by appointment from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional information and nomination forms can be picked up at the municipal office and are available on our municipal website.
 
The preliminary list of electors has been prepared. It is very important that you contact the Returning Officer if, within the last four years you have moved into the Municipality or you have turned 18 or will turn 18 by January 9, 2021 or you were not on the List of Electors at the time of the last Provincial Election. The Municipal Returning Officer is currently receiving applications for additions or amendments to the list by telephone, fax, e-mail, mail or in person.
