Starting December 1, St. Mary’s recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in Nova Scotia.  Curbside collection will continue as usual and will now include more items.  As part of this program, starting December 1, 2025, you’ll be able to recycle the same materials no matter where you live across the province.  More information will be provided over the coming weeks.  To find out more, visit https://www.circularmaterials.ca/resident-provinces/nova-scotia

Remembrance Day Tribute from the Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s

On behalf of the Municipality of the District of St Mary’s Council and staff we thank and appreciate all veterans for their bravery and the services they have provided for our country.

We honour the veterans who have defended our freedom and continue to inspire our community with their dedication.

The Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s is proud to support our local legions:

Branch 056 in Sherbrooke: November 11 at St. James Presbyterian Church at 11:00am. with a service at the High-Crest Nursing Home following.

Branch 086 in Liscomb: November 11 at the Liscomb Cenotaph at 11:00am.

Goshen November 9, at the Goshen Cenotaph from 12:30pm - 1:30pm.

A member of Council will be in attendance at each site to lay a wreath at the cenotaph.

We urge everyone to attend one of the Remembrance Day ceremonies taking place in the Municipality.
