Seniors ages 55+ are invited to join instructor Joy Wier in a free painting class on June 23rd, 2023. The class will take place at the Maple Manor from 1-4pm on June 23rd. No prior knowledge is needed and all equipment is provided. This opportunity is supported through funding from the New Horizons for Seniors Program. 8 spaces are available on a first come first serve basis. Call 902-522-2598 to book your spot today.

It's official, our Recreational Fishing Derby is a go for this Saturday, June 10th starting at 9am. The derby will take place at Nimrod's Campground (Sixth Lake). Children 12 and under fish for free. Anglers 13+ cost $5 to participate. There will be door prizes, and prizes in three age categories. See you THIS Saturday for some fishing fun for all ages. All anglers over the age of 16 require a fishing license.

The Province is lifting restrictions on travel and activities in the woods in all areas except for Shelburne County and anywhere evacuation orders are in place, effective 12:01 a.m., Monday, June 5.
