Launch held for Seeds of Literacy program
The Municipality of the District of St. Mary's was thrilled to officially launch the Seeds of Literacy Program on World Literacy Day, September 8th, 2022. We were excited to host the Paper Bag Princess who shared her exciting adventures with our youth attendees. Sherbrooke Opportunities Society - SHOPS provided the delicious refreshments and hosted us in their program room located in St. Mary's Education Centre/Academy's Memorial Place. Youth were excited to browse our catalogue and many chose to borrow books and play with our hands on activities.
Thank you to everyone who attended. Keep an eye out for Seeds of Literacy Programming throughout St. Mary's this fall and winter.
Special congratulations to Patty Lou McGrath who was the winner of a copy of the book A Boy Named Bat. Thank you for sharing our event information Patty Lou!
